A study in talking less and meaning more.
Christmas has been and gone. It was a blast. Friends visited, we ate, drank, and played games. Now is the time to start looking ahead to 2026 and what my priorities should be. I have a few ideas that I would like to bring to fruition.
I write an insignificant motorsport blog that focuses on German endurance racing. I will make more of an effort to write there throughout the year.
My best friend and I are going to dip a toe into music production, mostly EDM (electronic dance music), with live drumming and didgeridoo sounds. We're learning how to use free software from Ableton and Novation to help with this project.
My wife and I are looking at ways to buy our home. We have recently come into a bit of money, but enough to put us into a position where we can maybe buy our rented property from our landlords. If all goes well, I will document the process as best I can here.
Lastly, I will be working on my health with a view to finally putting my Type 2 diabetes into remission. I hope that by this time next year, I will be fit and healthy, tipping the scales at less than 100 KG. I will make small but sustainable lifestyle changes to maintain a good level of fitness as I approach my sixties. I had intended to start a YouTube channel and VLog about all of this, but I feel that it will be too time-consuming. Writing here, with the occasional thirty-second mobile phone video dropped in here, and there will suit me better. This blog has no readers, and I don't actively promote it to anyone. I could make it private, but that would defeat the object a little. If you have found this blog and you're interested in anything I have to say, please leave a comment and let me know you're there.
So, keep an eye out for all of the above throughout 2026. I will post here at least weekly, more frequently when a lot is happening. I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and your new year will be a happy one.
